Virtual Saxophone All-State Etude Clinic 2020
This year the Saxophone All-State Etude Clinic will take place virtually on November 7th, 2020 in order to keep all students and teachers safe during this unprecedented time.
The goal of the Saxophone All-State Etude Clinic is to give middle and high school students the tools needed to play their best throughout the district and all-state audition process. The saxophone teachers involved come from around the state of Georgia and have extensive teaching experience at all levels. The teachers involved include:
- Dr. Joe Girard - Columbus State University, tenor saxophonist Sinta Quartet, Selmer Paris Artist
- Brandyn Taylor - Georgia State University, Reinhardt University, Vandoren Artist Clinician, Selmer Paris Artist
- Dr. Andrew Allen - Georgia College, Selmer Paris Artist
- Matt Hess - Saxocentric, Selmer Paris Artist
The event will take place virtually and utilize the Zoom platform. Details regarding the sessions will be provided the week of the event.

Successful Practice Techniques

12pm - 12:25pm
*Concert Band Etudes Class
12:30pm - 12:55pm
*Symphonic Band Etudes Class
*For each level we will be offering separate classes for alto, tenor, and baritone so each student receives targeted instruction focusing on the unique challenges of each etude and instrument.
