Ms. Diana Sharpe

Diana Sharpe is currently serving on the music theory faculty of Columbus State University’s Schwob School of Music. Mrs Sharpe began her formal study of classical percussion with Ciprian Stoica at the Colegiul National de Arte “Octav Bancila.” During this period, she received numerous top prizes in regional and national competitions in her native Romania. She continued her musical studies at the Universitatea de Arte “George Enescu”.
In the fall of 2006, Mrs. Sharpe accepted the prestigious Woodruff Award Scholarship to attend the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University and study with Dr. Paul Vaillancourt. She graduated with honors in the spring of 2010 and went on to earn a Master of Music degree at Cleveland State University under the guidance of Tom Freer.
Her orchestral appearances include performances with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, Erie Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Lagrange Symphony Orchestra, Coastal Symphony of Georgia and Savannah Philharmonic.
