Dr. Kimberly Miller joined Columbus State University as an adjunct instructor in 2011; she previously taught at Darton College in Albany, Georgia.  Dr. Miller earned the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in clarinet performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with Ron DeKant, Steve Cohen, and Richie Hawley.   She received a Master of Music in music theory from the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor of Music in performance from Valdosta State University.  Dr. Miller has performed in orchestras in the southeast including the Albany Symphony, Valdosta Symphony, Central Florida Symphony, and Lagrange Symphony.  Performances also include conferences of the College Music Society and the International Clarinet Association.  Her honors include membership in the Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Chi Honor Societies as well as a Congressional Award of Recognition bestowed by Sanford Bishop.
