Bio

Richard Williams is currently a freelance musician in Atlanta. He recently completed a year as the French Horn instrumental music specialist for the Columbia Public Schools in Columbia, Missouri.

While there, he maintained an active performing career with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, 9th Street Philharmonic Orchestra, Columbia Civic Orchestra, Odyssey Chamber Music Series, and the University of Missouri horn quartet. In addition to being a founding member of the Harmonium Brass Quintet, he traveled frequently to New York as fourth horn of the New England Symphonic Ensemble, the orchestra of Mid-America Productions' Carnegie Hall Concert Series.

Richard is currently a member of the New England Youth Ensemble, an orchestra based in suburban Washington, DC. He has performed throughout the world with this group, visiting concert halls in nine foreign countries since 2005. Richard holds a Masters degree in horn performance from the University of Maryland and a Bachelors degree in music education from Columbus State University.
