Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music welcomes the International Double Reed Society to the first-ever conference in the state of Georgia! The CSU RiverPark arts campus is located in downtown Columbus, Georgia, with all the venues, dorms, exhibits, and conference hotel within a two-block radius. Fly into the Columbus Airport (CSG), or take the ground shuttle bus from the Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Columbus, Georgia is a 90-minute drive from Atlanta, six hours from Nashville, Memphis, and New Orleans, 10.5 hours from Kansas City, Houston and Columbus, Ohio.

The Schwob School of Music is housed within the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, a state-of-the-art facility housing three major halls. A short walk away is the Historic District, with cobbled brick streets and Victorian-era homes, and the Springer Opera House, which opened in 1871 and became known in its day as the finest theatre between Washington and New Orleans.

Columbus has a growing live music scene and over 20 locally-owned restaurants within walking distance of the conference site. The Chattahoochee River attracts rafting and kayaking enthusiasts to the world's longest urban whitewater course, which ends a stone's throw from the Schwob School of Music. Rent a bike and ride on the RiverWalk, and you may see the zip line to Alabama overhead. Come and enjoy the southern hospitality!
