Please see the list below for the artists, classes, repertoire and schedule for each class. It is an amazing line up of artists!

 

Sunday, June 26

10:00-11:00 am Michelle Vigneau (Associate Professor of Oboe at the University of Memphis) will teach a class for adult amateurs on solo oboe repertoire (applicant's choice). 

10:00-11:30 am  Kristin Wolfe Jensen (Professor of Bassoon at the University of  Texas) will teach a class on standard bassoon sonata and concerto repertoire (applicant's choice). 4 participants will be selected.

 

Monday, June 27

9:00-11:00 am Carolyn Hove (Solo English Hornist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic) will teach a class on orchestral repertoire for the English horn. The following pieces will be covered: Berlioz Roman Carnival Overture; Ravel Piano Concerto in G, mvt. 2; Rodrigo Concierto de Aranjuez, mvt. 2; Shostakovich Symphony no. 8, mvt. 1; Strauss Ein Heldenleben; Stravinsky Rite of Spring. 5 participants will be selected.

9:00-10:30 am  David Petersen (Principal Bassoonist of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra) will present a class on articulation and character in Baroque and Classical Repertoire (applicants choice). 4 participants will be selected.

 

Tuesday, June 28

9:00-10:30 am  John Miller (Principal Bassoonist of the Minnesota Orchestra and Affiliate Faculty of the University of Minnesota) will present a class on the Bubonic Bassoon quartets. Preference will be given to existing quartets but some individuals may be accommodated. 

1:00-2:00 pm Kathryn Greenbank (Principal Oboist of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra) will present a class on standard oboe solo repertoire (applicant's choice). 4 participants will be selected.

 

Wednesday, June 29 

9:00-10:00 am Darrel Hale (Assistant Professor of Bassoon at Louisiana State University) will teach a class for adult amateurs on solo bassoon repertoire, etudes and excerpts (applicant's choice).

9:00-11:00 am Peter Cooper (Principal Oboist of the Colorado Symphony and Senior Instructor at the University of Colorado) will present a class on Beethoven Symphonies 3, 6, 7, and 9. 4 participants will be selected.

 

Thursday, June 30 

9:00-11:00 am Pedro Diaz (Solo English Hornist with the Metropolitan Opera) will present a class on opera excerpts for the English Horn. The following pieces will be covered; Wagner Tristan und Isolde, Walkure; Verdi Otello, Un Ballo en Maschera, Don Carlo, Macbeth; Donizetti The Daughter of the Regiment, Anna Bolena; Bellini Il Pirata. 5 participants will be selected.
