Students

Philip Broome - Philip Broome is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Euphonium Performance at CSU and works as the graduate assistant to Dr. McCabe. He is active in the Salvation Army as a performer and technologist, and was recently a finalist in the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Conference Artist Euphonium Solo Competition. Philip also works as an independent producer on both audio and video projects.

Kent Hanie - Kent Hanie is earning his BM in Percussion Performance and began working as a student recording engineer in the Fall of 2010. He studies percussion with Dr. Paul Vaillancourt, and electroacoustic composition with Dr. McCabe.

David Malkiel - David Malkiel is currently working toward his BA in Music and has worked as a student recording engineers since the Fall of 2010. David focuses on double bass and is currently studying composition with Dr. McCabe.

Caleb Pringle - Caleb Pringle is in his final year of the BA in Music with a minor in Audio Technology. He began working as a student recording engineer in the Fall of 2009. He focuses on popular music, double bass, and electroacoustic composition.

Quinton Taylor - Quinton Taylor is a Psychology major with a Music minor, focusing on trombone and music technology. He currently studies electroacoustic composition with Dr. McCabe.

Matt Watson - Matt Watson is currently employed at CSU and the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, and is studying Recording Techniques and Computer Music with Dr. McCabe.

Alumni

Josh Flinn - Josh Flinn studied Computer Music with Dr. McCabe during the 2010-11 academic year. He recently graduated and is currently an assistant brewer at the Cannon Brewpub. He continues to work with Dr. McCabe on electroacoustic music composition.

Jay Hand - Jay Hand worked as a Student Recording Engineer during the 2007-2009 academics years and also did a lot of video work for CSU. He has recently graduated and is currently attending seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Stephen Shealy - Stephen Shealy worked as a Student Recording Engineer during the 2007-2009 academic years. He recently graduated from CSU and is currently working and playing drumset at local venues.

Carlos Strudwick - Carlos Strudwick worked as a Student Recording Engineer during the 2010-11 academic year. He recently graduated and will be attending the University of North Texas to pursue a Masters in Trumpet Performance.

Justin Waller - Justin Waller worked as a Student Recording Engineer during the 2010-11 academic year. He recently graduated and will be attending The State University of New York at Stony Brook to pursue a Masters in Trombone Performance.
